7.6 How to Use Automation Rules?

In the Automation Rules feature, you can set up rule templates for Campaign Scheduled Budget Adjustment, Portfolio Scheduled Budget Adjustment, and Ad Scheduled Bid Adjustment, allowing you to apply rules to multiple ad campaigns in bulk.

1.Select " Campaign Manager" and click on " Automation Rules."

2. There are two types of campaign budget adjustment plans: scheduled automation and enabling/pausing campaigns.

For Ad Scheduled Bid Adjustment, click " Add Scheduled Bid Adjustment Template " to set up. For setup methods, please refer to 7.3.2 Ad Scheduled Bid Adjustment.

By selecting to add a campaign, you apply the template rules to all targeting of the campaign. You can also apply the template to specific targeting such as keywords, product targeting, and automatic targeting groups under the campaign, allowing them to execute Custom Rules based on the template, independent of the scheduled bid adjustment rules for the campaign.

Under the " Portfolio Scheduled Budget Adjustment " tab, you can set up portfolio scheduled budget automation template; in the " Schedule Bid Adjustment " tab, set up campaign Ad scheduled bid adjustment template.

3.After setting up according to your needs, click "Save" to apply to your ad campaigns at any time. Please note: An ad campaign can only use one set of scheduled budget or scheduled bid adjustment rules. A Portfolio can also only use one type of scheduled budget adjustment automaton rule. If targeting is configured with its own Custom Rule (or Template), the execution of the rule takes precedence over the Campaign Rule.

4.After setting up the rule templates, if you need to apply the template to corresponding ad campaigns or portfolio, you can click "Add" in front of the corresponding template to add the objects that need management to the template list. You can also view the managed objects and management status through "Manage Automation."

You can also view, add, adjust template rules, copy templates, or delete templates for ad campaigns or portfolio that have already applied rules.

Please note that deleting a rule template will remove all managements that have set up the related template and restore the corresponding managements to their pre-managed state. Please operate with caution.

For Ad Scheduled Budget Adjustment settings, please refer to "7.4.1 Ad Scheduled Budget Adjustment" For details on Ad Scheduled Bid Adjustment rules, please refer to "7.5 Ad Scheduled Bid Adjustment"
