Portfolio Scheduled Budget Adjustment
Portfolio Scheduled Budget Adjustment is similar to Campaign Scheduled Budget Adjustment. It controls the overall budget of the ad portfolio to reasonably allocate budgets for its underlying ad campaigns, ensuring ads can be delivered normally during peak customer traffic periods.
- In Campaign Manager, open the "Portfolio" tab. In the "Automation" column, locate the portfolio you want to manage, then click "Set Rules" or "Edit."
- Click "Set Rules" or "Edit" to open Portfolio Scheduled Budget Adjustment. Configure the rules in list mode, enter the original budget, and enable automation. At the scheduled time, tool4seller changes the portfolio budget type to "Date Range" and applies the budget you configured. If you pause the automation, the portfolio retains the most recently applied budget.
You can also use calendar mode to edit rules by dragging cells.
① Custom Budget: Adjust the portfolio scheduled budget to the desired amount for the corresponding time.
② Increase or Decrease Based on Original Budget: Adjust the portfolio scheduled budget by adding or subtracting a fixed amount from the original budget.
③ Increase or Decrease by Percentage of Original Budget: Adjust the portfolio scheduled budget by a percentage based on the original budget.
④ Use Original Budget: Set the portfolio scheduled budget to the original budget for the corresponding time.
Example:
If your portfolio has a $100 budget and you want to allocate $20 from 00:00 to 06:00 Pacific Time, $50 from 06:00 to 22:00, and $30 from 22:00 to 23:59, configure the rules as follows:
- 0:00 – 6:00: Custom budget allocation of $20.
- 6:00 – 22:00: Custom budget allocation of $70 (previous time segment budget $20 + current time segment desired budget $50).
- 22:00 – 23:59: Custom budget allocation of $100 (previous segment budget $70 + current segment desired budget $30).
With this setup, you ensure that there is a certain amount of budget available for each time segment.
- The method of editing rules in list mode and calendar mode is the same as setting up Campaign Scheduled Budget Adjustment. You can also refer to hourly chart reports to find peak traffic or transaction times to assist in setting rules.
- Once finished, click "Save." You can also click "Save as Template". For more details on rule templates, please refer to "Automation Rules"
Notes:
① The schedule uses the time zone of the corresponding Amazon marketplace.
② Do not manage the same portfolio with another automation tool at the same time, because conflicting changes may prevent the tool4seller automation rules from taking effect as expected.
