5.1 How to Use the Ad Budget Schedule on Old Version?

To run all the Amazon advertising campaigns in proper time and reasonable budget, you can use Ad Budget Schedule on tool4seller. Knowing the pattern of your product advertisement then schedule when and how to run your campaigns effectively. Make sure every penny you spend on advertising counts.

1. Set up a Timing Advertising Budget Adjustment:

(1) Create an advertising campaign on Campaign Manager, then go to Ad Budget Schedule

(2) Click on Add Schedulingto set up your ad budget adjustment on the timetable.

(3) Select the ad campaign and set up its timing ad budget adjustment rules.

(4) On the setting page, there are three types of timing ad budget adjustment rules to choose (Budget Allocation Schedule, Edit Budget Schedule and Scheduled Campaigns on/off).

In the Budget Allocation Schedule, you can set up different budget properly for advertisement at different times.

Example 1:

If you only plan to spend $100 for advertising per day and assign the max budget in this way: $20 for 0:00-8:00, $30 for 8:00-16:00 and $50 for16:00-0:00 (GMT-4) .

Set the percentage of budget spend in the different time range:

0:00:00 – 7:59:59 Original Budget Allocation 20%

8:00:00 – 15:59:59 Original Budget Allocation 30%

16:00:00 – 23:59:59 Original Budget Allocation 50%

According to Amazon daily budget rule, tool4seller will automate set your budget as below:

0:00:00 – 7:59:59 Set your budget at $20

8:00:00 – 15:59:59 Set your budget at $50

*ps: ( $50=$20 (0:00:00 – 7:59:59) +$30 (8:00:00 – 15:59:59) . Why? Amazon considers your budget in the period of the day instead of the time range, but let’s assume the 0:00 - 7:59 the budget $20 already ran out, then the actually available budget from 8:00 - 15:59 is still $30.

16:00:00 – 23:59:59 Set your budget at $100

By using this plan, you can make sure you have enough budget to use at any time. Certainly, if your advertising budget remains during the period, the balance will be used on the future campaigns.

Example 2:

If you only plan to spend $100 for advertising and assign the max budget in this way: $0 for 0:00-8:00, $30 for 8:00-16:00 and $70 for16:00-0:00 (GMT-4) .

Set the percentage of budget spend in the different time range:

0:00:00 – 7:59:59 Original Budget Allocation 0%

8:00:00 – 15:59:59 Original Budget Allocation 30%

16:00:00 – 23:59:59 Original Budget Allocation 70%

According to Amazon.com budget rule, the lowest budget must be $1, then tool4seller will automated set your budget as below:

0:00:00 – 7:59:59 Set your budget at $1

8:00:00 – 15:59:59 Set your budget at $30

16:00:00 – 23:59:59 Set your budget at $100

*ps:($100=$1(0:00:00 – 7:59:59)+$30 (8:00:00 – 15:59:59)+$69(16:00:00 – 23:59:59))

Therefore, your daily advertising will still be $100, but the actual advertising cost will be lower than you expect because you must spend $1 on the period of 0:00:00 – 7:59:59.

In the Edit Budget Schedule, you can directly set the budget in dollars instead of percentage.

In the Scheduled Campaigns on/off, you can run the ad budget on the specific time you prefer or stop the campaigns.
