7.7 How to Use Ad Position Keyword Locker?

Ad Keyword Position Locker can help your sponsored products under exact match manual campaigns get the placements you want, saving your time and energy of manually checking multiple ad ranking positions and adjusting bids.

Introduction:

You need to use Ad Keyword Position Locker along with Tool4seller website and extension. Based on Tool4seller extension, you can get the sponsored keyword rank with high frequency (1 time/15 minutes) and adjust the bid of keyword according to the bids settings and expected ad position you set on tool4seller website until your product shows and be locked on the targeted sponsored placements.

This feature requires the use of both the Tool4seller web version and the browser extension. This tool, based on the keyword rank data fetched by the Tool4seller extension (every 15 mins), will continuously adjust the bid according to your setting on Tool4seller website until your product reach your set position.)

How to operate:

  (1) Install Tool4seller chrome extension and login your account, and finish Amazon store and ads authorization in Tool4seller before you use the locker.

2Find the Tool4seller extension icon in the browser, click the icon to open the extension and open the “Ad Keyword Position Locker”.

  (3)Enable “Ad Keyword Position Locker”automation and read the below instructions carefully. 


If the monitoring under the Ad Keyword Position Locker was createdIf you create the Ad Keyword Position Locker
automation), the extension will automatically fetch the sponsored ad rank data of corresponding keyword and operate based on your settings.

Tips: Please keep the chrome open and your computer not in sleep mode.

2. Make automation setting in tool4seller website.

  (1) Login tool4seller website, and find Ad Keyword Position Locker in PPC Optimization.

2 Create Ad Keyword Position Locker automation. 

A. Select a Marketplace and add keywords:

The system will show the manually exact targeting keyword list of current market place. Check the keyword you need to use locker automation. Then the system will automatically adjust your added keyword bids according to your settings.



(Note: If this keyword has enabled Schedule Bid Adjustment, then the automation here cannot be activated simultaneously.)

B. Set placement

Select the specific sponsored ad position you want. The function support selecting any position in the first 3 pages. You can set it as a rangelike 1-4 in the first pageor a specific position.( Like 1-1 in the first page


C. The markup range.

When the keyword hasn't reached the set position, the system will markup according to the settings until keyword make it. You can choose Increase bids by fixed value or Increase Bid by Percentage. Note: both of them adjust bids based on the current bids)


D. Highest Bid: To avoid ad cost too much, you need to set the highest bid so that the system will stop markup when
reaches it.

E. Whether to decrease the bid after reaching the set position

Note: When the placements reaches the set position range or higher place,it is deemed successful. You can choose whether to decrease bid at this time.

a. Maintain the current bid

b. Decrease the bid

This setting is helpful to save ad costs. You can set lower price after how many consecutive successful locker has done. You can choose Decrease Bids by Fixed Value”or”Decrease Bids by percentage” to do so. At the same time, you need to set “the lowest bids” to make the bids stop getting lower when reaches it.You can set how many consecutive successful bids are needed before starting decrease the bid. There are two options to decrease the bid:Decrease Bids by Fixed Value”or”Decrease Bids by percentage.”Meanwhile, you need to set “the lowest bids” to stop decreasing bid when reaches the set position.

For example: Your set rank position is 1-4 on the first page, the bids for successful locker is $1.5 and you lower $0.05 for bid each 3 consecutive successful locker, then the system will lower the bids by $0.05 each time it monitors 3 consecutive successful locker until it reaches the lowest bids. If the sponsored product cannot reaches the expected rank position before reaches the lowest bids, then the system will re-markup and you can see the lowest bids of getting the top position in the search page based on the Actions log.

If your set position is 1-4 on the first page, the successful bid is $1.5 and you want to decrease bid by $0.05 every time after 3 consecutive successful bid, then the system will decrease the bid by $0.05 starting from the forth time until reach the lowest bid. If the set position is lost before reaching the lowest bid, the system will start increasing bids again. You can find the lowest bid to reach the top position in the search result page on operation records.)


F. The automation time period.

It supports All day” or “Specified time period”.

a. All day Locker automation 24 hours.

b. Specified time periodSet any time period in a day. 

 You also need to set the bids which is not within the scheduled automation time period. It supports adjusting bids to the last bids in the automation time period or directly setting a fixed bids. To increase the locker success efficiency(To improve the efficiency of successful bid),  you can select If the first daily attempt to reach the set rank position fails, directly adjusted the bid to the last successful bid price. to quickly get the set position.

For example: If you have set your bid to automate with specified time period, the usual bid is $1.00 and your last successful bid for last day is $1.50. Then, when it is time for bid today, the system will firstly determine whether the usual bid of $1.00 can help you get your expected placement .

If yes,then the bid will be maintained at $1.00. If not, the bid will be modified to $1.50 (the last successful bid for yesterday).

The system will determine whether your bid can get your set placement.

1. If yes, no adjustment

2. If no, the system will adjust your bid from $1.00(the fixed bid) to $1.50.(the last successful bid for yesterday)


G. Postal Code

The system will automatically fill in the default postal code of the selected Marketplace. For example, the postal code of New York for the US Market Place is 10011.  Due to searching for the same keyword in different regions, Amazon search results may be different. You can also modify the postal code as needed. ( Since Amazon's search results for the same keyword may vary in different regions, you can also modify the postal code as needed )For example, fill in the postal code of the region where your product has a higher number of orders. The extension will obtain the ad ranking data in the region based on the postal code.

3. Enable the automation.

After finishing the automation settings, you can directly choose Save and Enable”or just “Save”then enable it in the Locker automation management. When the automation and monitoring in the extension both on, the extension will automatically open the Amazon, get the the sponsored keyword rank data every 15 minutes and adjust the bid of keyword according to the bids settings.


Note: During the locker automation, please keep the Tool4seller extension and browser running. If the keyword that need to lock is over 25, we suggest that you use multiple browser and install extension for all of them to use the function.

Before the locker, please check if your browser that installed extension can see the sponsored ad rank or not. Please ensure the browser with the extension installed is launched and Keyword Position Locker is active. If you need to monitor more than 25 keywords, please consider using multiple browsers. Before enabling the feature, please ensure that you are able to see Amazon sponsored ad properly on your browser.

4. Locker automation management list

Log in to the tool4seller web version and enter Ad Keyword Position Locker under the PPC Optimization. If the settings have been completed before, the keyword hosting list will be displayed.

3 View the abbreviated sponsored ad ranking data obtained in the past 24 hours, and click on details to view information for more time periods.

6View the automation log: View the ad rank acquisition status executed by the system every 15 minutes, as well as the related actions and reasons for setting execution.



2. Check the extension status

Click the "View Extension status" button in the Ad Keyword Position Locker list to see the running status of multiple extensions that perform locker automation. If the status is "Stopped". it may be caused by the extension has stopped due to the browser being closed or the network being slow. Please ensure that the network connection of the computer where you installed the extension is stable, then reopen the extension and enable the Ad Keyword Position Locker monitoring switch.

NoteThe system supports multiple browsers to install the extension and run the Ad Keyword Position Locker automation at the same time.

Q1There are multiple ASINs placed in the ad group. If any of the ASINs appears in the placement I want on the Amazon keyword search results page, will it be counted as a successful ad space? (If multiple ASINs are placed in an ad group, and any one of these ASINs reach my set position on the Amazon keyword search results page, will it be counted as a successful bid?)

AYes. When you search for the locked keywords on the Amazon page, as long as any ASIN placed under the ad
group appears in the sponsored placement, the locker will be considered successful.

 

Q2:When the budget of the campaign where the locker keywords are located is insufficient, will the bid continue to
be increased?

A: No.

Q3:How to choose the best time period for keyword locker?

A: You can refer to the performance of Hourly Sales in the of the product in the "Ad Performance Reports" function to
confirm the appropriate time period.  (You can schedule your automation based on the performance across different time periods in the hourly sales from Ad Performance Reports.) 
Find out the single peak time period for sponsored ads and use Ad Keyword Position Locker to reaches the set position during this time period.

 

Q4:How to deal with Extension error ?

A: The extension may stop running because the browser is closed or the network speed is slow. Please ensure that the network connection is stable, then reopen the extension and enable the Ad Keyword Position Locker.(The extension may stop working due to browser closure or slow network speed.
